As a solo traveler from Dublin, I often seek solace in hotels that blend comfort with value. My recent stay at Soviva Resort - Families Only challenged this ideal. While the price was undeniably attractive, the experience fell short on several fronts. First off, the dining options left much to be desired. The food was consistently disappointing, and the fact that the only available water came from a questionable well further tarnished our meals. On the bright side, the swimming pool offered a respite—an oasis, if you will, amidst the chaos. The room had a decent layout, complete with air conditioning and a small sitting area, but cleanliness was a concern. Towels? You’d be better off packing your own. The staff’s lack of hospitality only added to the frustration; it felt as though we were intruding rather than guests. Ultimately, while Soviva’s location and price point might appeal to those looking for a bargain, the overall experience served as a poignant reminder that sometimes, “luxury” is worth the extra spend. Proceed with caution, mate.
